Want salon-worthy hair and effortless makeup for your daily routine? Today, I'm sharing my Sephora VIB sale must-haves for a minimal but perfect everyday makeup look, and a game-changing haircare routine. Let’s explore these products together!

Hair Care Favorites

Before we start, it's important to note that my hair type is fine, straight Asian hair with a very oil scalp. Here are the haircare products that have transformed my hair over the years, listed in the order I use them.

1. Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer

  • Size & Price: 250 mL (8.5 fl oz): $46 CAD → $37 with VIB Rouge discount

  • What It Is: A multitasking leave-in conditioner that detangles, reduces frizz, and provides heat protection up to 450°F.

  • My experience: As someone who washes and blow-dries her hair nearly everyday, this product has been my go-to heat protectant for over 8 years. Although it doesn’t quite tame frizz for me, it detangles my wet hair very well and significantly contributes to my hair’s health and shine over the years.

  • How to use: since I have sensitive and reactive skin, I don't spray it directly onto my hair to avoid any excess product landing on my face. I pump about 5 times onto the palms of my hands then spread it to my hair from mid length down. In my personal experience, this helps the product spread and absorb much better.

  • I would highly recommend you to check this out if you apply any kind of heat to your hair.

2. Olaplex No. 6 Bond Smoother Frizz Control Styling Cream

  • Size & Price: 100 mL (3.3 fl oz): $41 CAD → $33 with VIB Rouge discount

  • What It Is: A leave-in styling cream offering up to 72 hours of frizz control, quicker blow-drying, and healthier hair through patented bond-building technology.

  • My experience: I've relied on Olaplex No. 6 since starting to dye my hair regularly about five years ago. It noticeably hydrates my hair, speeds up blow-drying and adds healthy smoothness without weighing down my hair given that I use the correct amount.

  • How to use: This is the second step in my hair care routine after showering. A pea-sized (about 1/2 pump) amount is usually enough to keep my hair silky without becoming oily. I also spread this over my hair from mid length down and avoid the root area.

  • I would recommend you to use this product if you have damaged hair and are in need of a reparative leave-in treatment.

3. Kérastase Elixir Ultime Refillable Hydrating Hair Oil

  • Size & Price: 75 mL (2.5 fl oz): $90 CAD → $72 with VIB Rouge discount

  • What It Is: A luxurious hair oil enriched with wild camellia flower antioxidants, deeply hydrating, controlling frizz, and providing additional heat protection. It has recently gone through a reformulation and repackaging as well.

  • Personal Notes: Though this hair oil is the most expensive product in my hair care routine, it is worth every penny. Unlike other oils that felt too heavy for my hair type, the Kérastase oil provides nourishment to bring your hair back to life and add shine without greasiness. It is my second layer of heat protectant and especially good for my ends where it is more dry than the rest of my hair. Each bottle typically lasts me about a year, making the Sephora sale the ideal time to stock up.

  • How to use: I usually use 1/2 pump for my medium length hair and only apply from mid length down as well avoiding the scalp area.

  • If you haven't found a hair oil that works for you, I'd recommend you to check this out. Not only it smells very good, the performance is also on a different level and totally worth the hype.

Makeup Favorites

Now let’s complete the effortless everyday look with my minimal makeup essentials:

1. Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil Stain (Shade: Hope)

  • Price: $30 CAD → $24 with VIB Rouge discount

  • What It Is: A gel-to-oil lip stain that is rich in pigment, smoothly hydrates, leaving a non-sticky and lasting soft tint.

  • My experience: I have loved the lip oil stain in the color ‘Serenity’ throughout fall and winter; this color is also perfect for date nights and dress-up occasions. but sadly, I have recently finished it 🥲 This wand of the lip oil impressively applies precisely and comfortably without extra buildup in mouth corners which isn't the case for other lip oils or lip glosses I've tried so far. For this sale, I decide to switch to 'Hope' for a natural pink color which is a perfect color for the summer. Maybe I will come back to 'Serenity' when the Fall rolls around again. Who know? 😆

2. Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush (Shade: Grateful)

  • Price: $35 CAD → $28 with VIB Rouge discount

  • What It Is: A highly pigmented liquid blush delivering a natural, radiant flush with minimal product.

  • My experience: I've been using the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush color 'Worth' for about 2 years and the blush doesn't seem to be emptying anytime soon. A tiny dot provides incredible color payoff and a natural radiant glow on your cheeks, integrating seamlessly into my minimal makeup routine. Even though I'm still enjoying 'Worth', I’m excited to try ‘Grateful,’ a dewy true red known for its natural, flushed look—perfect for the warmer months ahead.
